We work on initiatives focused on formalizing and strengthening the relationship between the business and academic worlds.

In addition, we seek employment models based on flexibility and knowledge, as elements of differentiation and competitiveness of organizations in the digital era.

The employers’ association is a founding member of the Sectoral Joint Structure of the Digital Economy and Industry Sector, the first and only joint structure ever set up, and has built up a wide network of top-level collaborators. Three of the axes around which we act in the field of education are: training for employment (revision of qualifications, Dual FP, re-skilling…), modernization of the classrooms themselves (ATECA project) and teacher training.

Training and capacity building projects

DigitalEs participates in the “Microcreds Plan” of the Ministry of Universities, with the design and development proposal of Microcredentials related to the technological and digital sector.

They represent a key part of the Modernization Plan for Vocational Training in Spain, promoted by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training. This plan includes the conversion of vocational training classrooms into applied technology classrooms in a total of 850 centers. The ATECA Classrooms have been designed by DIGITALES for the Ministry, and developed by HP (together with Intel), Huawei, Telefónica and Vodafone.

It is the Autonomous Regions which, through the Extraordinary Territorial Cooperation Program Vocational Training Plan for Economic and Social Growth and Employability, select, coordinate, execute and justify the operations, in coordination with the public vocational training centers benefiting from these classrooms. There are currently more than 200 ATECA classrooms in Spain.

AULA 5G structured the first training classroom with full 5G antenna equipment inside the classroom in Europe, and remains the only one of its kind in Spain. The Aula 5G project at DigitalES represents a paradigmatic and successful example of the modernization of vocational training facilities. This project is easily scalable and replicable in the rest of the Autonomous Communities of our country. The first 5G Classroom is located in the National Reference Center for Informatics Development and Communications (Comunidad de Madrid), located in Getafe. (Community of Madrid), in the town of Getafe.

Since 2020, this infrastructure has been used for the training of 68 teachers, both from the Community of Madrid and from other Spanish Autonomous Communities. During the 2022-2023 academic year, a set of 6 itineraries was offered, preferably aimed at unemployed people, teachers and vocational training centers throughout the country.

This is an end-to-end training project of DigitalES, in which the association has participated by designing and structuring: the professional qualification, the course content, and the technologies that students should be able to touch and manipulate in the classroom.

DigitalES is part of the Advisory Board of this training program in digital skills, promoted by Fundación ONCE, and aimed at people with disabilities.

The companies that make up the Por Talento Digital Advisory Board define the educational programs and strategies aimed at improving the employability of people with disabilities in the digital environment, based on the premise that the full inclusion of this group must be a lever for the creation of a fairer and more caring society.

Professionalizing and promoting academic guidance among secondary and high school students will help to encourage STEM vocations in Spain. For this reason, we collaborate with the Bertelsman Foundation in “Companies that inspire” and with the LEDU League in its various debate competitions. Our mission is twofold: to help young people find a technological vocation, and to strengthen ties in order to create a pool of future professionals who can fill the vacancies in our sector. It is our FUTURE VOICES program.

Spain RURAL

While digital technologies are advancing the development of society and our lives, there is a significant impact on the depopulation of the rural world.

How to connect people, activities and administrations to reverse the depopulation curve?

DigitalES is working on a pilot project, with public-private collaboration, to extend digitalization to rural areas with a comprehensive approach.

We analyze the gap in the supply and demand of technological employment with Big Data tools, and we prepare a diagnosis and recommendations to curb the lack of talent in our sector.

Sectorial Joint Structure

Within this public-private alliance, of which DigitalES is a founding member, we lead a working group that develops a training project for cloud administrators.

We also actively participated in the promotion of proposals for subsidized training, in the new models for collecting the training needs of companies and in the preparation of a new Sector Reference Plan.
