DigitalES in Europe

We believe in Europe’s open strategic autonomy and are working to help achieve the objectives of the Digital Compass 2030. This is why the European approach permeates all of our association’s activities.

Most of the regulation affecting the sector is determined by its treatment and legislative procedure within the European institutions. For this reason, DigitalES, the Spanish Association for Digitalization, continuously monitors those issues on which its members wish to position themselves prior to their national transposition.

In this context, DigitalES has an ongoing relationship with the European Commission, the European Parliament, the European Council and the permanent representation to the EU.

We are part of the European employers’ association BusinessEuropeas well as its Digital Taskforce. DigitalES is also a member of the Digital Skills Coalition of the European Commission, as well as its representation in Spain. These partnerships provide us with immediate access to information and texts handled in Brussels.

Legislative monitoring, public affairs strategy and lobbying actions through the submission of position papers and/or amendments, are some of the tools with which we act before the elaboration of the European regulation.
