October 18, 2022.- There are images that convey, better than all words, the spirit of political understanding, collaboration and continuity on the progress of the predecessor that has characterized the Secretary of State for Telecommunications. Over the years, this department has changed its organizational structure, its name and its functions and competencies, expanding them as the digital economy has grown, and contributing significantly to the leading position that Spain occupies today in the deployment of fixed networks.

Yesterday, on the occasion of the inauguration of senior officials of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, we collected this snapshot of five of the people who have held the position of Secretary of State for Telecommunications in Spain: from left to right, Roberto Sánchez, Francisco Ros, María González Veracruz, Víctor Calvo-Sotelo (currently CEO of DigitalES) and Juan Junquera.

It was an emotional meeting, in which everyone wished luck to the newly appointed Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure, María González Veracruz.
