The second Annual Congress of DigitalES, the association that integrates the main companies in the technology and digital innovation sector in Spain, starts in 8 days. 600 guests, more than 80 national and international speakers and up to 14 panels where everything concerning the great challenge of today will be discussed: the complete and efficient Digital Transformation of our society.
CEOs, politicians, ministers, institutional representatives, entrepreneurs… The main leaders of the ICT industry will be at an event that this year increases the number of speakers by 30, to more than 80 in the course of just two days.
The impact of Digital Transformation is beyond doubt. Between 2013 and 2018, the evolution of digitalization rates in Spain contributed €7.5 billion per year to GDP. To put it another way, it is more or less the equivalent of all the wealth generated by a community such as La Rioja.
Specifically, the 48 companies integrated in DigitalES generated a total of 34.5 billion euros of Gross Value Added to the Spanish economy in 2017, or 3.3% of the total. The activity of these companies supports 250,000 jobs with high added value, including direct, indirect and induced employment.
It is therefore more necessary than ever a meeting that integrates all these actors in a common debate on Digital Transformation. But… what will the guest speakers at the Digitales Summit 2019 talk about?
In a world where digitalization goes beyond technology, the first challenge will be to answer this important question: Is Spain meeting the challenge of Digital Transformation? What are we doing to address these changes in society and business, and how can the government balance its priorities between the economy, labor markets and social services?
This important issue will open two days of debates, where some of the most influential people in the sector will address relevant topics such as these:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Industry 4.0
- Digitization of SMEs
- Fashion and technology
- Democracy and Digital Transformation
- The world of tomorrow
- Mobility and smartcities
Each of these topics will be the subject of a panel discussion -in some cases, a two-way dialogue- where the different ways of taking advantage of these technologies and integrating them in a transversal manner in Spanish society to act as a lever for economic and productive transformation will be addressed.
All with a luxury participation. More than 80 speakers will participate in these debates, mostly moderated by prestigious journalists, with RTVE journalist Marta Jamandreu as the event’s host.
The CEOs of the main operators will participate in different panels, as well as the heads of the leading technology companies in Spain. Also present will be, among others, the country manager of Amazon, Linkedin, the founder of Carto or the CEO of the Adolfo Dominguez group.
The event, which can be followed on social networks with the hashtag #DigitalES2019, will also have a very special slogan, ‘Technology is the New Rock’n’Roll’, which will act as a common thread for all the debates. If in 1952 rock went beyond music, in 2019 digital goes beyond technology.
