The technology and digital sector suffers from a generalized talent recruitment problem, both in Europe and in Spain. According to data from the Ministry of Education between 2010 and 2017 enrollments in engineering and architecture studies fell by 28% in Spain. The study “The challenge of STEM vocations”. conducted by DigitalES and prepared by EY, analyzes this drop along with the situation of training programs in secondary schools, vocational training and universities, and tries to find answers to why students in our classrooms discard the subjects that form the most demanded professionals of today and the future.

The report has counted with the collaboration of HP, Fundanción Transforma and the SM publishing house, and was presented in Madrid on September 24 in the presence of the acting Minister of Education, Isabel Celaá. Download the study:
