Madrid, July 1, 2021 – The shortage of technology specialists in Spain is currently estimated at between 70,000 and 75,000 positions. In less than twelve months, that number will be well over 100,000 unfilled positions. These are estimates by the DigitalES association, based on information provided by its partners and collaborators.

This fact, objective and newsworthy, was announced today during the traditional press conference prior to the DigitalES Summit, which was attended by the president of the technology employers’ association, Eduardo Serra, and its CEO, Víctor Calvo-Sotelo.

During this event, the participants also shared their opinions on the Draft Bill of the Vocational Training Law, the Draft Bill of the General Audiovisual Law, Spain’s opportunity to become a communications node, and the contribution of technologies to sustainability.
